Already this Saturday, Forstern's football women are on their way to Wetzlar for the point game in the Regionalliga Süd, which rises on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Forstern - In view of the precarious table position, the team of coach Thilo Herberholz has trained intensively in the past few weeks in order to be as prepared as possible for the remaining games.

To this end, FC started training on the squares in Forstern in January and most recently completed a training camp on Lake Garda lasting several days. The camp there was a special highlight because the two Forstner women teams drove to where the B juniors have been doing their preparation time after the winter break for years.

For tomorrow's game at FSV Hesen Wetzlar - 470 kilometers from Forstern - coach Herberholz has to do without some regular players. Defensive player Laura Schatzeder injured her knee in January. It will be canceled for the coming weeks. In the preparatory game against FC Ingolstadt 04 (Bundesliga 2), midfielder Franzi Stimmer was hit on the ankle. Julia Deißenböck has been suffering from a knee injury since November and is not yet in full possession of her powers. However, she will take part in the five-hour trip to Wetzlar, and maybe she will take a few minutes of action.

Forestry in Wetzlar outsider

Forstern's women travel to Hesse as outsiders, because the FSV is the only team in the Regionalliga Süd that is still without a home defeat. Apart from a draw, he won all the matches at home more or less clearly and only had to concede two goals in these games.

Nevertheless, Forstern's women are not hopelessly going to Hessenland, because the preparation time and the training camp were a very effective fitness training. The team also fondly remembers the third game day when FC beat FSV 4-0 at home.

As tenth in the table with 18 points, Forstern ranks three points behind SV Weinberg in the regional league, which currently holds the first non-relegation place. And that's exactly where the FC wants to go.
