What. For. On. Finish! The SG Schliersee / Miesbach 1b secures the semi-finals against Straubing in the last second.

Miesbach - The SG Schliersee / Miesbach 1b is in the semi-finals of the district league championship. In the all-important third quarter-final on Friday evening against EHC Straubing, the district cracks won 6: 5 (1: 1/2: 0/3: 4). The goals were scored by Benedikt Galler (3), Seppi Ziegler (1), Maxi Haug (1), Dominik Willibald (1).

The ranks are not granted a break, however, the first semi-final against SG Bad Bayersoien / Peiting 1b will take place on Sunday. The match in the Miesbach ice rink will be kicked off at 6 p.m. The game is played again in best-of-three mode. So it will be decided next weekend, 7./8. March, who moves into the final and competes in the Landesliga next season. “We played against Bayersoien in preparation and I saw the home game of 1c. This is definitely an opponent at eye level, ”says SG coach Horst Forster.

He expects a strong opponent whose team is made up of former top league cracks from EC Peiting and many young savages. "You have five or six players over 30 with you. They are no longer the fastest, but they know how to play ice hockey. Then there are the young players who run a lot. This is of course a great combination, ”Forster says to the guests. Except for Yannick Dreier, Florian Empl and Markus Seiderer, he can draw on unlimited resources.

He also sees no disadvantage in the fact that the guests can go into the game rested after the game-free Friday. "It is good for us that we can continue right away, because we stay in rhythm," explains the SG coach. He expects a disciplined performance from his team. “We don't have to be afraid of Bayersoien, but with 80 percent nothing is possible. If we fully utilize our performance, I see slight advantages for us with the home right. But we mustn't make any mistakes and, above all, we have to avoid the penalty bench, because they know how to play outnumber, ”says the chief instructor of the Renken.

The guests are certainly not an unbeatable opponent for the Schlierseer and Miesbacher, with the Germering Wanderers, who have won all of their 18 season games so far, it could have been a lot harder for the district cracks. But Germering wants to deal with the home side's camp at the earliest the weekend after next before the final. "Now of course we also want to go to the finals," Forster clearly indicates the direction. A home win would be a big step in the right direction.
