District - The conditions were almost perfect for the 100 ski racers of the U11 and U12 age groups, who competed in a giant slalom for the Intersport-Schlichtner-Cup on the maple run on the Lenggrieser Brauneck. “Only where the route was directly exposed to the warm sun rays did it get a bit soft in between. But in the end we have to be happy that we can still run races this year, ”said Beate Kiehling, race director and alpine sports manager of the organizing Tölz ski club.

In any case, the machine snow offered the athletes extremely good conditions right down to the last race numbers. If you had previously feared that the steep section would cause major problems for the racers, it ultimately turned out quite differently. Obviously the steep climb had been very well visited or had been driven with the necessary attention. On the longer flat section in front of the finish line, however, there were most failures. Apparently, some racers believed that it went by itself and drove the gates a little too lightly.

The worst hit was Christoph Huth (SC Bad Wiessee). Although he complained of no major complaints, he was taken to the Tölzer Hospital as a precaution after his capital fall. Carla Oberhuber (SC Reichersbeuern) convinced again in the U11 and came in first ahead of Maja Epstude (SC Miesbach) and Amelie Haider (SC Lenggries). With the boys, Luca May (TSV Otterfing) secured the top spot here. He was followed by the two Lenggrieser Josselin Moubayed (Rough Riders) and Luis Renz (Ski Club) on the courses.

Sophie Dustmann drove the best experience of success for the organizing Tölzer Ski Club in the U12. She won ahead of Pernilla Grauer (SC Lenggries) and Julia Machl (SC Ostin). The absolute best of the day came in the U12 of this year's series winner Max Holzinger (SC Rottach-Egern) with 1: 30.23 minutes. He relegated Leonhard Wustmann (SC Bad Tölz) and Max Sendele (SC Lenggries) to the places.
