Soccer
Now the corona virus has also reached football in the district. The next two match days were canceled. This is how the clubs react.
On top of that, the Merkur CUP also had to be canceled. Around 6,000 young footballers take part in the U11 tournament every year, and parents and grandparents also watch. The risk of infection would be too great.
Handball
Due to the corona virus, the Bavarian Handball Association stopped playing in children and youth for the 2019/2020 season. Adult gaming operations at the district to state level are suspended until further notice. At the latest by April 19, a decision will be taken to restart the game.
"On the one hand, I think it's a shame, but on the other hand, it's right again," says Florian Schweigart, coach of the women at TSV Schongau. His team has a good chance of winning the district league championship. "No one knows exactly what will happen next," he says. The Schongauer women still have three games to play.
The TSV men would have had to compete twice. They are also about to start the championship. "We have to wait and see now," says TSV men's coach David Schmoldt. It would be very bitter for his team if the season were to be canceled. With a win this Sunday at TV Memmingen 2, the Schongauer would have made the championship clear ahead of time.
Bowling
The game in bowling is canceled due to the corona virus at state, district and district level until further notice. This is announced by the Bavarian Bowling Association on its website.
Table tennis
The table tennis players of TTC Birkland can currently only wait and see whether the Oberliga season will continue. It is officially suspended until April 17 due to the corona virus. According to game manager Hans-Peter Koller, the remaining season games could be completely canceled in the next few days.
This decision has already been made for the lower leagues. The Bavarian Table Tennis Association has stopped playing this season for all classes belonging to it.
basketball
Basketball is also not being played because of the corona virus for the time being. The basketball district of Upper Bavaria has stopped playing for the time being.
do gymnastics
The gymnasts of the TSV Schongau react to the corona virus. For the time being, the department has canceled all sports lessons for all age groups. According to a message, they will probably no longer take place until the end of the Easter holidays, i.e. by April 19.
ice Hockey
After the DEL and DEL2, the Oberliga has now decided to end the ice hockey season prematurely, and there has also been a decision for the Bayernliga.
