The Wanderers have to look for a new trainer. At the weekend, Petr Vorisek informed the Germeringer club management that he wanted to leave the Landesliga promoted team for personal reasons.
Germering - The 59-year-old Czech took over the team just before the start of the unbeaten district league season, which ended with first place in the table. Although the championship final against the syndicate from Schliersee and Miesbach was canceled due to the Corona crisis, the bike did not stand still for the Wanderers. So far, it was not foreseeable that in addition to the player further and new commitments, a new coach had to be sought.
Vorisek had the wheel firmly in hand and led the Wanderers to a total of 29 victories in just as many competitive games. In the end, that meant winning the cup and advancing to the national league. Even for the title of district league champion, the Germeringer for their successful coach was a top favorite before the corona virus thwarted the final calculation: The Bavarian Ice Sports Association (BEV) - like many other sports associations - had the season ahead of schedule finished explaining.
The club says nothing about the specific reasons for the departure of Vorisek. "Of course we respect his decision," spokesman Markus Degenhardt merely says, and at the same time announces that the trainer will have initial discussions with possible successors in the next few days. The managers also want to sit down with the players in the current squad and potential newcomers.
