The corona virus also brought an early end to table tennis. There remain: many open questions.

Miesbach - While the German Table Tennis Federation (DTTB) is still reaching for a straw and has only suspended play for the top five divisions until April 17, the season in Bavaria has definitely ended. However, there are no final tables available for the coming season, from which promoters and relegators emerge. How the league compilation of the new season is handled is completely unclear.

Hans-Peter Koller from Miesbach is the most important and highest-ranking official in Bavaria in team play. His slightest concern is that the phone rings continuously and the mailbox overflows. Rather, it is unsatisfactory for him that he must always use the same standard sentence: “We do not know what will happen next. Not yet". However, since the reports for the coming season have to be submitted at the end of May, a solution must be found promptly.

Ascent regulation not yet clarified

Where can the SG Hausham, currently second in the district league, report? In the Landesliga, which was possible through the relegation, or in the same division? SF Gmund-Dürnbach, which could no longer be displaced from first place in the Southern District League, is hit even harder. Can the ascent be realized, or are the results of the season simply canceled as if it hadn't happened?

There is also another problem. If a club wishes to withdraw from the traditional league, for example for personal reasons, it is unclear who is entitled to the free space. “The DTTB is based in Frankfurt,” explains Koller, “but whether the board meeting scheduled for early April will take place remains to be seen. Maybe we can also hold a conference call. ”What is surely not going to take place indefinitely is table tennis training. All halls in the region are closed.
