The BLSV made an urgent appeal to athletes across Bavaria to adhere to the prescribed measures.
Dachau – At the latest according to the latest government statements by the Bavarian Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder and Chancellor Angela Merkel on the corona pandemic are clear: the situation is very serious. The primary goal of politics and decision-makers is to protect the population and slow down the spread of the pandemic.
To this end, the BLSV makes an urgent appeal to athletes across Bavaria: “The corona pandemic is expanding dynamically and the number of infected people across Germany is increasing dramatically. In this critical situation, the Bavarian State Government and the Federal Government emphasize that the highest level of responsibility now applies to everyone. This means that the measures that apply in the course of the disaster until April 19, 2020 must also be strictly followed for sports in Bavaria. "
Measures for everything sports enthusiasts
To underline the importance of these rules, the BLSV appeals to all sports enthusiasts to urgently comply with the following measures:
. “Clubs have to stop all sports activities as part of their duty of care. Halls, fitness rooms or sports fields must be locked. Unauthorized access to club-owned sports facilities is prohibited. All members, trainers and trainers are to be sensitized, club areas generally to be avoided. Persons who have access to club facilities are urgently to be informed about this instruction.
. "Training in the club is prohibited. In addition, no alternative training groups should be formed. One should only move alone and under no circumstances use the club's sports grounds. We recommend that you currently only complete individual training units and, above all, pay attention to a healthy diet, adequate sleep and hygiene measures.
"Keep closer together by distance"
BLSV President Jörg Ammon emphasized in an official announcement: “We now have to move closer together in sport, too, by keeping our distance! It is very important for every individual, especially in sports, to act as a role model. My urgent appeal to all athletes is to limit all social contacts to what is absolutely necessary and to follow the instructions of the state government. This crisis can only be overcome by working together. "
Even if you cannot currently be active on the sports grounds and in groups, there is still the possibility to challenge yourself with alternative sports activities at home. The BLSV cooperation partner Bayerischer Rundfunk, together with the former top athlete Felix Neureuther, runs the exercise program "Fit with Felix". The concept includes playful movement exercises that activate the head and body at the same time. The entertaining exercises and tips are easy for the whole family to do at home.
The BLSV will regularly include the contributions in its social media and thus create an opportunity to be able to play sports every day - especially for children and the elderly.
