Bayern Munich, the Primera Liga competitor, announced today that it has reached an agreement with its temporary coach, Hans Flick, to extend his contract until 2023 to become the permanent coach of the team.
Bayern Chief Executive Carl Heinz Rummenigge said in a statement that the club was fully satisfied with Flick's work, adding that "the team has developed significantly under his leadership, which is reflected in the results ... We are the only team that is still competing in three championships."
Bayern leads the German league as it reached the German Cup semifinals and the sixteen round of the Champions League.
It is noteworthy that the German League is currently suspended until at least April 30, and officials say that the resumption of play will most likely involve matches without fans.
