On Wednesday, two doctors discussed the possibility of testing a vaccine against the coronavirus in Africa "where there are no masks, no treatments, no resuscitation". This Friday, after the controversy raised, they apologized. But Africa is angry.

After Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba, two of the greatest footballers in history on the continent, El-Hadji Diouf, African Golden Ball in 2001 and 2002, passed by Sochaux, Lens, Rennes or Liverpool, told us his desolation.

It is inconceivable that we continue to accept this. Africa is not a laboratory.
I strongly denounce these serious, racist and contemptuous remarks!

How did you react to the words of the two doctors?

EL-HADJI DIOUF. They are real terrorists and must be condemned as such. We have to judge them and put them in prison. They disrespected an entire continent. And they disrespected humanity. If an African had said a quarter of what they said but to Europe, it would be world war! They must be charged. All of Africa must stand up as one man and do like Morocco: file a complaint. We are proud of our Africa and we will always be proud of it.

Is it a colonialist vision of Africa that they express?

What happened with AIDS is no longer possible. Africa before is not Africa today. These comments are unacceptable. Freedom of expression is valid for everyone but with respect for everyone. It was not two researchers or two doctors who spoke, but two fools. It is a villain, a rascal, someone who has no heart who spoke.

What is the situation in Senegal against Covid-19?

The government is facing from the health point of view. I must congratulate our Minister of Health, Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr, and the one who appointed him, President Macky Sall. We recorded only one death and, unfortunately, it fell on our friend, our brother, our father Pape Diouf. President Pape Diouf whom everyone calls Pape Diouf Marseille. I call him Pape Diouf national. Senegal is facing the pandemic and we show that we are a big country. I continue to ask my Senegalese compatriots to respect government directives and containment. Senegal is ready to help more than eight million Senegalese confined to eat and drink.
