On Friday, Borussia Dortmund announced that it will make its stadium available to accommodate people infected with Covid-19. The north stand of Signal Iguna Park will notably be transformed into a treatment center for the sick. “Our stadium is the figurehead of the city, a fixed point for almost everyone in Dortmund and its surroundings. Due to its technical and spatial conditions, it is the ideal place to actively help people potentially infected with the coronavirus. It is our duty and it is our desire to do everything in our power to help these people, "said Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of the German club, in a statement.
