Initiator Loshi trusts in the strength of Schrimpf and Poniewaz
Loshi is the initiator in the FC camp. When he found out about the tournament on the Internet, he immediately looked for two Playstation gamblers among Garmisch-Partenkirchner - and quickly found two motivated colleagues in Schrimpf and Poniewaz. "The two of them have that", the coach of the reserve teams is convinced. The idea of the organizers convinced the trio. "I think it's good that something like this is offered," says Loshi. "So at least we have something to do."
Poniewaz can only confirm this vehemently. Instead of working at his desk in a local car dealership, the 21-year-old has been on short-time work since last week. The ceiling threatens to fall on his head. Poniewaz calls the free tournament offer a "cool thing" that gives him "some distraction". According to his own statement, he normally only sits in front of the console occasionally, playing FIFA 20 "not quite as often" as Loshi and Schrimpf. However, he proved that he can keep up in an internal competition that the FC trio held in preparation for the tournament. Poniewaz emerged victorious from these duels.
Schrimpf can secure the victory
In the first practical test, things went less well for the outside striker. Poniewaz lost his game against a FC Forstern player 1-3. It's a good thing that colleague Loshi, for his part, was successful with the same result and thus provided an overall balance. So whether FC 1. wins or loses its first duel depends on Schrimpf. The Mittenwalder is yet to start his game.
The respective match days must be dealt with within three days. The players involved receive all the necessary information via a cloud on the Internet. The preliminary round lasts until May 12th, after which the final table is calculated based on all games. The two group winners will receive a bye, after which the knockout phase will be heralded in the playoff mode for all groups.
1. FC GAP only county team
From the district point of view, the FC is the only team that takes part in the tournament. FC Seeshaupt, TSV Graefelfing and TSV Gilchingam Start are also in the vicinity. The remaining teams mainly come from the Erdinger area. Loshi has a hard time assessing whether FC has any chances of winning. He says: "We will certainly not be the best, but let's have a look."
