Spanish football club Real Madrid announced today that its players and members of the technical staff have agreed to reduce their salaries by 10 to 20 percent this year to help the club to face the consequences of stopping activity due to the Corona virus pandemic.
The club's management has said that the actual cut will depend on conditions that may put an end to the current sports season 2019-2020.
The club's directors also agreed to cut their salaries, as did basketball players.
It is noteworthy that the total number of deaths due to corona virus in Spain rose to 14555 after the country witnessed indicators of a decrease last week as the number of confirmed infections in the country rose to 146,690 cases, making it the second European country in terms of the number of infections after Italy.
