Erding / Lengdorf – 68.13 percent of all clubs voted in favor of the Bavarian Football Association's (BFV) proposal to suspend the 2019/20 season until August 31. It is to be brought to an end on September 1 by sporting means.

According to the BFV, 2,178 clubs voted in favor of this proposal, which applies to the game play for adults (from the Bayernliga downwards) and for juniors, although one has to be more differentiated in the youth area, as BFV President Rainer Koch says. The BFV board will advise this survey result on Wednesday and make a binding decision.

A total of 73.53 percent of all Bavarian clubs participated in the vote - including FC Lengdorf, which currently leads the district league by nine points. Anton Bauer made no secret of the Lengdorfer vote. "We clearly voted for the second half of the season to be brought to an end." The Lengdorf soccer boss was accordingly delighted with the result. This explains why over 31 percent of the clubs opposed the BFV proposal, “that many clubs in the no man's land are also on the table and that they don't really care about the rating of the current game round”.

Now, according to Bauer, two things need to be clarified urgently: "What are the deadlines for changing players, and how many weeks before the first point game can the preparation begin?" A team actually needs four to six weeks in advance. Bauer also sees the danger that the players would take it easy given the long waiting period. He fully relies on the motivational art of Coach Franco Soave, who is currently keeping the team together through social media. The long dry spell until August 31 is difficult for the club: "We lack the training, the competition and the conviviality." Coach Franco caused a smile, who simply played through the games against Langengeisling and Attaching in his head and for commented on the club. Not surprisingly, the Lengdorfer would have won twice (3: 2 and 4: 3).

With zero points after 18 games, FC Türkgücü Erding voted for a season break. Coach Benji Tas says with a smile: "Of course, keeping the league with zero points would have been a unique experience." But a sequel doesn't bother him either: "We want to play football again. Regardless of whether it's in a new season or in the current one. ”Tas took over during the winter break and has not yet played a point game:“ We got a lot of exciting players. It is a shame, of course, that you will probably have to relegate with such a good squad. But we still have half a season in the district class. ”And when the time comes, the 28-year-old wants to make the most of it.
