Erding - The football juniors should also finish their round of points after the corona-related break. This was confirmed yesterday by Erding's group director Willi Brambring. As reported, 68.13 percent of all Bavarian clubs had voted for the BFV's proposal to suspend the 2019/20 season until August 31. This applies to the game operations for adults (from the Bayernliga downwards) and for juniors. So the association had reported on Monday. In the next sentence, however, it was stated that, according to President Rainer Koch, “one has to be more differentiated in the area of young talent”.

But that only referred to the how, Brambring explained. "You want to be more flexible here." In the youth sector, the start will certainly not be on September 1, but only after the summer holidays. In addition, there are considerations to let the children go to mini-tournaments or similar forms of play as early as July. “Of course that would only be an option if there were no legal and above all health concerns. And of course the parents would also have to agree, ”says Brambring, who points out:“ If you haven't offered football for many months, there is a risk that some of them won't come back to the club at all. ”Especially in the area Brambring fears that the B juniors, "where you lose a lot anyway due to an apprenticeship, girlfriend or new interests", could be a big problem.

Similar concerns would also concern the youth leaders and coaches who are currently reporting to him. Four or five phone calls a week at the moment. "Of course everyone wants to know how things will go," says the Lengdorfer, who is personally in favor of continuing the season.

What happens to the A youth?

"I think that is the fairest decision. No one can say today whether we will be able to play again in September or maybe only in March. ”Brambring praised BFV's crisis management. The association worked transparently, presented the problem very well and used the new media very well.

That is why association youth leader Florian Weißmann is inviting to webinars in the coming week to answer open questions. Brambring also calls a particularly sensitive one: “What happens to the A-youngsters? Not everyone will want to kick youngsters when they are already eligible to play for the men's teams. ”However, the group manager is confident that the association will find a solution here as well as at the changeover periods.

In the meantime, the BFV has published further details on the survey. Accordingly, the association's proposal to continue the game round after the break received even more approval from the Upper Bavarian clubs (namely 75.42 percent with 75.79% turnout) than in the Bavarian average (68.13% with 73.53% turnout).

Lower Bavaria and Lower Franconia (61.56 percent each) see the season continuation most critically. Of the clubs from the Donau / Isar district, 111 were against the BFV recommendation (71.61%) and 44 against (28.39%). This in turn is the worst value in Upper Bavaria.
