As expected, women's football did not escape the wave of reports. Scheduled for the summer of 2021, the Women's Euro Football has been postponed to the following year so as not to fall on the same dates as the men's, itself postponed from 2020 to 2021 because of the coronavirus epidemic. The women's competition will still take place in England, and in the same stadiums as originally planned, but from July 6 to 31, 2022.

During their last competition, at the 2019 World Cup, the French team lost in the quarterfinals.
