ISIS activist planned to attack Camp Nou in one of Barcelona's home games, Spanish media reported Thursday evening. The suspect, a Morocco national, was arrested last Friday in Barcelona.
The suspect's goal was to reach one of the games that was supposed to be held at Camp Nou, with priority being one that attracts a large crowd like the Classic. The plan was to enter the stadium with a knife and perform mass massacres of fans, at an event to be documented and filmed all over the world.
The suspect was obsessed with ISIS's massacre videos and watched these videos many times, which inspired him, so he chose a knife for the attack. Police found that the suspect swore allegiance to Ibrahim Hashimi, one of the most important names in ISIS.
