Under certain conditions, athletes can start training again. Athletics is one of the first allowed sports. But even with a single sport it is not always easy to keep your distance.

Emmering - Young athletes at TV Emmering were among the first athletes in the district to experience what a training facility could look like after the relaxation of the corona restrictions. The pitfalls of the new hygiene rules also came to light.

Instead of just concentrating on training as before, the young athletes now have to keep protective measures in mind. This is easier for some than for others. The fact that there must be an empty path between the runners during the sprint and that the javelin throw must be kept clear works perfectly. "As supervisors, we take care of this automatically," says TVE trainer Mark Henne.

Only the trainers wear masks

In contrast to the trainers, the teenagers do not wear masks. They got used to wearing the face mask while shopping. But when it comes to sports, 13-year-old Mario has had this experience at home, this thing is simply a hindrance. "I tried it a few times. But sport with a mask, really not casual. "

However, it may still take a while before the new rules of conduct are flesh and blood. “It can happen that when you run you just remember that there are distance rules,” says 13-year-old Magdalena of her experience after the restart on the training ground.

Devices are disinfected regularly

Of course she knows the regulations. They come from the German and Bavarian Athletics Association (DLV and BLV) and are somewhat stricter than those of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV). For the municipality of Emmering, these regulations were in turn a precondition for granting the early approval. Only individual training is permitted for high jumps, and 15 meters must be kept clear when running laps. After the training sessions, the devices used must be disinfected. "Only the coaches can do that," explains Henne. Endurance training in the group is currently not being done. This is only possible individually and would extend the time frame of the training too much. For Mario, on the other hand, it is important that "we can go out again". That with the regulations and reductions feels strange. "But you get used to it." But you don't really find contact, adds Korbinian, who is one year older. After all, he is one of the 20 young people who are allowed on the training ground. "The interest and desire for sport is already there," said coach Henne.

So far, only the performance groups have been training

A few girls and boys had to be dismissed with reference to the restrictions. Preference was given to those who train performance-based. The four groups of five that are on the pitch during the first training session of the TVE must remain in this combination in the future - in order to be able to better track a possible infection chain. "It's a test run," says Henne about the start of the training.

Only girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 14 can get started, for whom only sprint, long jump, hurdles and javelin are scheduled. According to Henne, the older vintages are to follow next week after evaluating the experiences of the first unit. With all the joy of returning to training, Magdalena misses one thing. "I can see my sports buddies. But I want to hug my girlfriend for a good result. ”

TV Emmering's hygiene plan

1. Only small groups of up to four athletes and one trainer may train together. The groups should not be mixed and there should be no change of trainers during a training session.

2. The minimum distance between the athletes should be 1.5 meters.

3. The trainers must wear a face mask.

4. Hands should be disinfected before and after training, as well as when changing disciplines and in the event of accidental contact with other athletes.

5. Disposable gloves can be worn, but are not mandatory.

6. Devices such as balls, discus, spears and sticks should be used individually. The devices should be disinfected before and after training and recorded.

7. When running on the circular track, safety distances of 15 meters and time intervals of 10 seconds should be observed and one track should be skipped in width.

8. A weekly occupancy plan for the sports field is drawn up with the names of the coaches and athletes. No more than five groups should use the space at the same time.

9. A hygiene plan is posted. All athletes should be informed about the behavior and hygiene standards. The information must be recorded in writing.

10. All athletes must complete a Covid 19 risk questionnaire and bring it to the first training session.

11. Before each training session, the trainer must inquire whether the athletes have any corona symptoms. The names of the athletes per group must be documented.

12. There is a maximum of one toilet facility for men and women. After use, the door handle must be disinfected by the user and the hands must be washed.
