Real Madrid, Barça & amp; Co started the group workouts on Monday.

The Spanish clubs resumed collective training on Monday in small groups, in accordance with the health protocol implemented by LaLiga in view of a resumption in June of the championship paralyzed for more than two months by the pandemic of new coronavirus. Barça returned to the grounds of its training center early in the morning and posted photos on its social networks where we see in particular several players like Gerard Piqué or Sergio Busquets participating in a "toro".

Real Madrid did the same in its complex on the outskirts of the Spanish capital. On photos published by the club, we can see captain Sergio Ramos running with Dani Carvajal or Marcelo with Raphaël Varane.

10 players maximum

This recovery is part of phase 3 of the progressive "de-escalation plan" wanted by the Spanish government, which authorizes groups of 10 players maximum. The decision concerns all the clubs, including those like Barça or Real who are in regions where the deconfinement phases are less advanced. "It is a ministerial decision. It was very important that all teams could train in the same way, "LaLiga boss Javier Tebas said on Movistar + on Sunday evening.

After the suspension of the Spanish championship on March 12 due to the pandemic, the Liga clubs had resumed individual training from May 8, with a maximum of six players on the field simultaneously and a drastic respect for barrier gestures. The players must arrive separately, already in uniform, gloved and masked and have the temperature taken.

Expected recovery "from June 11-12"

Javier Tebas has never considered the final cessation of the 2019-2020 season and hopes to resume the championship "from June 11-12". “But we are working to be ready whatever the date. It is the health authorities who will say when we start, "repeated the boss of LaLiga on Sunday evening.

With 231,350 cases confirmed by PCR tests and 27,650 people deceased, according to the latest reports from health authorities this Sunday, Spain is one of the countries hardest hit in the world by the pandemic of new coronavirus.
