After the LFP's decision to put an end to the 2019-2020 Ligue 1 season on April 30 due to the Covid-19 health crisis, Lyon (7th), Amiens and Toulouse (19th and 20th) have seized the justice. In a press release published this Friday evening, the LFP reveals that the appeals of these three clubs have been dismissed: "The LFP has noted with satisfaction the rejection of the appeals brought by Olympique Lyonnais, Amiens SC and Toulouse FC before the judge of summary proceedings of the administrative court of Paris ”. Before adding: "He logically accepted, by three orders made this Friday afternoon, that the decisions of general scope taken by the League's Board of Directors on April 30 could only be challenged before the Council of State, which is competent to hear acts of a regulatory nature taken by authorities with national jurisdiction such as the LFP. ” Consequently, Amiens and Toulouse should therefore descend to Ligue 2. And OL will probably remain 7th in Ligue 1.
