A week after the 4-0 derby win against FC Schalke 04, second place at VfL Wolfsburg won 2-0 (1-0). Thanks to the goals of Raphael Guerreiro (32nd) and Achraf Hakimi (78th), BVB temporarily reduced the deficit to Bayern Munich to one point before the evening game against Eintracht Frankfurt.
