Bundesliga chief critic in the stands at ghost game: "I tried to the end ..."

Karl Lauterbach and Kevin Kühnert had not given the DFL plans good hair until recently. Both apparently like to watch ghost games anyway.

Mönchengladbach - Until the end, they had tried with all their might to prevent the Bundesliga restart * . On Saturday (May 23rd) they suddenly appeared themselves in the stadium. The SPD politicians Kevin Kühnert and Karl Lauterbach involuntarily became formative figures of the 27th match day.

What hadn't the two Social Democrats scolded in advance? Kühnert had publicly questioned the objectivity of the health authorities because of the resumption of gaming. In the Sport1 “double pass”, the 30-year-old * warned against  “praising the DFL's health concept too much”.

Kühnert's talk show-proven party colleague Lauterbach called the decision to continue the Bundesliga season "disappointing and wrong". The restart signaled to the population that professional athletes were not at risk from the corona virus .

And yet the two SPD politicians were spotted in the match * between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the stands. Unknown jokers hadn't missed placing two of the chief critic's displays in the curve. 

Involuntary visit to ghost game: Lauterbach and Kühnert react with humor

Cardboard mate Lauterbach was of course equipped with a characteristic bow tie. The Gladbach fan project had previously initiated a project to breathe life into the ghost games. In the meantime, 13,000 cardboard figures have already been distributed in Borussia Park .

The two SPD politicians reacted to their involuntary guest appearance with humor. "Look, we're at the Borussia in the guest block. At least I demonstratively crossed my arms, ”Kühnert wrote on Twitter to the address of his party colleague.

Lauterbach's replica was not long in coming: “I tried to prevent the games from the end. Oh well ... "
