After more than two months of stopping world football due to the coronavirus pandemic, the hour for the resumption of the great European Championships has finally come! Germany first set an example by resuming on May 16, then Spain confirmed last Saturday that the La Liga will restart from June 8. Everything accelerated this Thursday on the side of England and Italy. The Premier League formalized its return on June 17 and just after, it was Serie A's turn to announce its resumption on June 20. Interrupted since March 9 by the health crisis of Covid-19, the Federation, the League and the government agreed after the meeting scheduled at 6.30 pm. "The Technical and Scientific Committee gave its agreement on the protocol and the federation assured me that it had a plan B and a plan C. In the light of these considerations, the Championship can resume on June 20", declared this Thursday evening the Italian Minister of Sports, Vincenzo Spadafora. The return of Serie A, which will most certainly take place behind closed doors and with a strict health protocol, promises that the Championship was so tight between the first two before its suspension in the middle of the 26th day. Juventus Turin, leader of the classification, thus has only a small point ahead of its runner-up, Lazio Rome. We then find Inter Milan on the third step of the podium with nine points behind Juve. Lecce, Spal and Brescia occupy, in this order, the last three places.
The sports minister has just indicated that Serie A will officially resume on June 20. The 1/2 Cup finals will be played on the weekend of June 13.

However, it will not be Serie A which will give the start of the resumption of Italian football but rather the National Cup. Indeed, the return semi-finals of the Italian Cup, opposing Naples to Inter Milan and Juventus to AC Milan, will be held on June 13. The final will take place on June 17. In short, the great European Round Ball Championships are on German time. Portugal will for example sign its recovery on June 3, behind closed doors. Only the French Championship is more than ever an exception after having definitively stopped on April 30…
