Hoeneß threatens FCI: "Waiting did not affect the joy of playing"

FC Bayern 2 have to restart at FC Ingolstadt on Saturday. With the home side, a new coach is on the sidelines after the Corona break. 

Munich / Ingolstadt - After a twelve-week break, the best team of the second half of the third division will finally continue this weekend. Before the Corona-related interruption of the season, third-division promoted FC Bayern II won six of their last seven games and thus decisively set themselves apart from the relegation zone. 

Hoeneß: The anticipation is palpable

The small Bavarians cannot advance anyway, so that coach Sebastian Hoeneß was able to prepare his team for the remaining eleven games of the season without great pressure. "The anticipation is palpable for everyone, the long wait", said the 38-year-old, "would not have influenced the boys' enthusiasm". 

This Saturday (2 p.m., live in the BR), the “Bayern amateurs” will be guesting relegated FC Ingolstadt, who is only one point ahead of FCB's youngsters, with eleven games in just six weeks to kick off the intensive rest of the program.
