Madrid (dpa) - With the local derby of Sevilla FC against Betis, Spain's La Liga resumes on 11 June after the Corona break.
The Spanish Government's highest sports council with the association and the league agreed on the date for the continuation of the highest football league on Friday. A restart would have been possible on June 8th.
In the championship, which has been interrupted since March 10, there are still eleven game days remaining. They should now be completed in seven weeks by July 26, if possible. However, there is still no concrete schedule with dates.
The new season 2020/21 in the Primera Division will start on September 12th. This was confirmed by league boss Javier Tebas in an interview with the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca".
