Rosenheim - Defenders Benedikt Dietrich and Michael Gottwald, as well as attackers Kilian Steinmann and Philipp Lode will move up to the first team in the coming season. Attackers Ludwig Danzer, however, leaves the club.

The press release in full:

Defender Benedikt Dietrich went through the entire youth division of Starbulls Rosenheim and has been an absolute top performer in Rick Böhm's U20 team in the past season. In addition to his youth work, the 19-year-old Dietrich has already sniffed 3 league games in the team of coach John Sicinski in the 2019/2020 season. In spite of his youthful age, the native of Rosenheim presented himself with a lot of calm and sovereignty.

"Benedikt Dietrich was the top defender in the Starbulls U-20 team last season and quickly proved in his first team appearances that he has what it takes to play in the top division," said Starbulls coach John Sicinski.

Top talent in the expanded squad

DEB international Michael Gottwald went on ice in the canceled Corona season for Oliver Häusler's Starbulls U17 team. The 179 cm tall left-handed shooter won the German championship title in Bad Tölz in 2017/2018 with the Starbulls U15 team (pupils).

When asked about Michael Gottwald, John Sicinski says: “Michael Gottwald is an absolute top talent from our up-and-coming factory, which we want to offer the chance to take a breath of the Oberliga air from autumn. He is now part of our expanded squad and will primarily play for the U20 team of Rick Böhm. ”

Perspective player with a strong season

Born in Erdinger, Kilian Steinmann switched from Erding Young Gladiators to the Starbulls' offspring in summer 2015. Last season, Steinmann was one of the offensive key players of the Starbulls U20 team and led the team's scorer classification with 60 points (29 goals / 31 assists) from 35 games. In the past 2019/2020 season, the 18-year-old Steinmann stood on the ice 9 times for the first team of the Starbulls.

“Kilian Steinmann is also one of the perspective players that we want to gradually introduce to the first team. His last season with the U20 team was very strong

and he has already shown strong approaches in the league games. Kilian wants to prove himself to us and I'm looking forward to it, ”says Starbulls coach John Sicinski.

Runner strong player with will to the next step

Philipp Lode changes from the Starbulls U20 team to the Oberliga team of the green-whites. The 20-year-old native of Altöttinger scored a total of 33 points (19 goals / 14 assists) in DNL2 in 34 appearances in the 2019/2020 season. Left-handed shooter Lode comes from the offspring of EHC Waldkraiburg and has been wearing the green and white Starbulls jersey since summer 2013.

When asked about Lode, John Sicinski says: “Last year Philipp was a final U20 class and now wants to take the next steps in his career with us. First is a strong player and has often trained with us in the last year. He presented himself with a lot of commitment and thus earned his chance with us ”.

Young - ambitious - hungry

“All these four guys fit perfectly into my team's philosophy for the coming season. We mix great quality and experience with youthful ambition and a hunger for success and progress. This also corresponds to the overall philosophy of the association. We live permeability in the offspring and with us every young player with commitment and will can win a lot of trust as well as a lot of ice age in the senior area, ”says Starbulls coach John Sicinski.

Contract with Ludwig Danzer canceled

The contract with attacker Ludwig Danzer was terminated by mutual agreement at his own request. The Starbulls Rosenheim would like to thank Ludwig Danzer for his commitment over the past few years and wish him every success in his upcoming tasks and development.
