Munich (dpa) - At FC Bayern Munich there are first cautious mind games for a return to football games with spectators in the stadium.
"Of course we took a look at it," said board member Oliver Kahn on Sunday evening on the television program "Sky 90". The 50-year-old emphasized, however, that in the near future it could only be about "a fraction of the full staff".
On specific demand, Kahn named a number of "10,000 to 11,000" spectators for the Munich Allianz Arena for the current hygiene concept of German professional football in the corona crisis. This holds 75,000 visitors at Bayern home games in the Bundesliga.
"I'm an absolute friend of thinking about viewers again sooner or later, but only within the framework of a sensible concept," said Kahn. The health of the spectators and of course the players must always be guaranteed. "Yes, bit by bit we should think ahead. Dortmund versus Bayern Munich without a spectator - that's insane. But at the moment we have to accept it and just accept it," said Kahn.
The Bundesliga had "an excellent concept" to be the first league in the world to start playing football again, said Kahn. "In spite of everything, you should exercise caution," warned the former national goalkeeper. In certain areas, the coronavirus could and would still have "foci of infection".
