Liverpool players have been kneeling in training on Monday at Anfield as a tribute to George Floyd. The photo was shared on Twitter by James Milner and Virgil Van Dyke, the team players.
Recall Floyd died last week during an arrest by Minnesota police after a police officer knelt down his neck for more than eight minutes. The event has in recent days generated huge demonstrations across the United States, demonstrations that are also spreading daily to other regions around the globe such as London and Berlin.

Liverpool's squabble is similar to former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick's knee-jerk during the 2016 U.S. anthem for police brutality protests. Their contributors took a similar step.
