The agents of Gustavo Maia (01-22-2001), the center forward of the Sao Paulo subsidiary, said in Brazil that Barcelona will pay 4.5 million euros this month to get 70 percent of the promising footballer's pass. The remaining 30 percent will continue to belong to Sao Paulo, the team with which he has a contract until 2022.
The Blaugrana club paid a million euros last March to reserve a preferential option in the signing of Maia . The option expires on June 30 and Barça has decided, always according to the footballer's agents, to make it effective. Failure to do so, the million euros of the reserve was lost.
