The AFC decided to complete the group stage of the AFC Cup starting from next October, after its meeting with representatives of the participating countries in the competition via the Internet, where it represents Syria in the Al-Jaish and Al-Wathba clubs.
According to what was decided by the meeting held over the Internet, it was agreed to hold the remaining group stage matches by gathering system during the period between the twenty-seventh of October to the fourth of November next.
The Syrian football representatives Al-Jaish and Al-Wathba will participate in the championship in the first and second group, respectively, where the first plays with the Lebanese covenant, the Bahraini Manama and the Palestinian Hilal Al-Quds, while the second is with the Jordanian Al-Faisali, the Lebanese Ansar, and the Kuwaiti Kuwait.
The army holds in its balance four points so far equal to the same balance with the Bahraini Manama, and the covenant comes third with three points, while the Jerusalem Crescent occupies the fourth and last without points, while Al Wathba comes third with two points, behind the second Lebanese Ansar with three points and Kuwait Kuwait with 4 points and Al-Faisali of Jordan comes fourth with one point .
It is noteworthy that the Army and Al-Wathba teams represent Syria in the AFC competition for the first Premier League title and the second for the Republic Cup last season.
