Timo Werner: There is a mega turn in transfer poker: FC Bayern Munich may not necessarily be the loser against Chelsea.

Timo Werner: There is a mega turn in transfer poker: FC Bayern Munich may not necessarily be the loser against Chelsea.

  • Timo Werner is associated with FC Bayern * and Liverpool
  • Timo Werner is currently under contract with RB Leipzig - the contract with the Bundesliga club * will run for another three years.
  • Now Timo Werner is said to have decided on a transfer to Chelsea . The change could still burst.

Update of June 6, 4:46 p.m .: Completely surprising, the news went round that Timo Werner had decided to transfer to Chelsea . Liverpool FC may not have the money to pay the exit clause for the German international and Bayern Munich does not seem to have taken it seriously.

Werner apparently draws two factors to the blues. On the one hand, there is the trainer Frank Lampard , who is very open about the Leipzig striker and hopes for a kind of commitment between the lines. The other is national team-mate Antonio Rüdiger . The two have known each other since a young age. Werner and Rüdiger made their breakthrough at VfB Stuttgart.

Timo Werner: Change to Chelsea not officially - FC Bayern plays an important issue in the cards

Leipzig's managing director Oliver Mintzlaff, however, now contradicts the statement that everything is already fixed. RB no longer has anything in their own hands as soon as a club agrees to use Timo Werner's contractual clause. "Now Timo Werner is sitting in the drivers' seat , not us anymore," he explained to Sky. But an actual offer had not yet been received in Saxony.

The three parties face a completely different problem. At the moment nobody can say exactly when the Bundesliga and Premier League will end their seasons . It is not foreseeable that this will happen at the same time. A change within the league would therefore be much easier to implement. Mintzlaff is confident that "they'll find the rule with the host club to end the Bundesliga season whenever that is the case." But he could even avoid such discussions with Bayern Munich, for example. How to deal with the upcoming Champions League in August is also still in the stars.

Update from June 6, 3:04 pm:  Before the Leipzig Bundesliga game against SC Paderborn, RB Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff says: “It was important for us that we extended the contract last summer. Because we didn't want us to lose a player free of charge. So far, the exit clause has not been drawn, and no offer has been received. But Timo Werner signaled to us a few weeks ago that he was busy with a farewell. ”

Suddenly not attractive enough anymore? Chelsea beats Bayern again - Werner transfer probably fix

Update from June 6th, 10:38 am: Bayern fans are reluctant to be reminded of the day in May 2012 when Chelsea FC stole their Champions League title . In the Allianz Arena at home there was probably the most bitter defeat in club history after the legendary bankruptcy against Manchester United .

Now, eight years later, you face each other again in the Champions League , this time the FCB should not experience a blue miracle anymore. After 3-0 in the first knockout round, the next round is almost certain. But Bayern lose on the transfers. Timo Werner has decided to move to London, the signature only seems to be a matter of form.

Timo Werner: Chelsea FC or Bayern? Leipzig star follows a prominent example

In the transfer market, FCB are currently losing out against the blues in a row. The Londoners were able to hold their jewel Callum Hudson-Odoi despite violent Bavarian advances, and Ajax superstar Hakim Ziyech decided against a change in Bavaria and for London. And now Werner. The best German club and the best German striker don't come together. Is FC Bayern Munich suddenly no longer attractive enough ?

At the time FCB was still courting Hudson-Odoi , team-mate Marcos Alonso said ice cold: “We are Chelsea, a great team, we play in the best league in the world. I don't know why someone should go to Bayern Munich. ”This sentence now receives a new supporter with Werner .

Meanwhile, England star Jadon Sancho makes headlines - will he soon turn his back on BVB and Bundesliga * after the Corona scandal? After all, FCB seems to have better chances with Kai Havertz than with Timo Werner.

Timo Werner: Chelsea transfer probably fix - mega offensive could soon shock Bayern and Liverpool

Update of June 5, 2:03 p.m .:  Timo Werner and Chelsea FC - the matter seems to be fixed. As tz.de * reports, Bayern coach Hansi Flick has given further information on the commitment.

Update from June 5, 9:50 a.m .: The exit clause  must have been drawn by Timo Werner in ten days . With Chelsea FC there is now an unexpected top favorite on the mega transfer. The blues have already bagged the deal, according to media reports from home and abroad, only Werner's signature is apparently missing.

The specialist magazine The Athletic has now unraveled how the Werner deal came about . Of course, coach Frank Lampard , who once won the Champions League * with the Londoners in the Allianz Arena *, has a significant share in Werner's commitment.

Timo Werner: Chelsea transfer before completion - Frank Lampard with decisive role

The former world-class midfielder called the German international several times and convinced him of a transfer . Werner could have switched to Liverpool at the same time - but apparently there was no time to work out the deal. Finally , a quick decision was needed because of Werner's win clause , which must be drawn before June 15 . With the Reds, too much is still unclear due to the corona virus.

According to Athletic , a transfer from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was also an option for Chelsea . The former Dortmund player currently plays for city rivals Arsenal and meets regularly in the Premier League . However - and it soon becomes clear - at 30, he doesn't really fit into the Lampard plan

“Frank The Tank” has focused on young talents since the beginning of his professional coaching career in Derby . With Tammy Abraham , Callum Hudson-Odoi , Mason Mount or Billy Gilmour, there are already some aspiring players in the Chelsea squad - with the 24-year-old Werner , a rocket would be added, which is also still young, but also has plenty of experience . So will you soon teach  Liverpool FC at national level and teams like  FC Bayern at international level?

Chelsea FC before transfer of Timo Werner - "Will go over the next week"

Werner's incredible quota (31 goals and twelve assists in 40 games this season) also speaks for him - which is why, according to Athletic,  experts rank him higher than Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz. Despite the corona crisis, these two top players still have to pay transfer fees of 100 million euros - Werner is available for almost half.

Should the international soon sign his contract, which apparently guarantees him ten million euros gross over five seasons, one can only congratulate Chelsea on a great bargain. Sky expert Marc Behrenbeck is certain: "The thing will be over the next week." At the moment, only the last details are pending.

Timo Werner: FC Bayern? Liverpool? Chelsea? Transfer probably fixed - mega salary for Leipzig star

Update of June 5, 7:59 a.m .: Half of Europe is after Leipzig's top striker Timo Werner , in the end an outsider will win the race: Will the national team land  at Chelsea in the summer ? At Bayern Munich and Liverpool FC , it seems to have decided against the lightning-fast executor. The blues, on the other hand, want to pull the exit clause of 55 to 60 million euros on the cut-off date - that is on June 15.

Chelsea have now agreed a deal in principle to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

- Sky Sports News (@SkySportsNews) June 4, 2020

From England there are now the first rumors that the Londoners have already sealed the deal. Is it now at Timo Werner so quickly and he leaves the Bundesliga *? A transfer of the striker has been an issue for over a year - and now Chelsea FC seems to be a club that was long in wait.

Timo Werner: great change in transfer - change to Chelsea?

Update from June 4, 7 p.m .:  Leipzig's  Timo Werner is one of the goal guarantors in the current Bundesliga season, which makes him a desirable striker across Europe.

Despite Liverpool FC’s keen interest , the British Premier League leaders  have not yet made an offer, bringing more wealthy clubs to the table . Now there is an unexpected turn.

Timo Werner: Surprising turn in transfer poker - RB striker will probably switch to Chelsea

As the picture  (article behind the pay barrier) reports with reference to its own information, the Swabian clippers should be before moving to London's top club Chelsea FC

The big club around coach and club legend Frank Lampard should therefore be ready to pay the exit clause of 55 to 60 million euros. The 24-year-old is said to be awarded a five-year contract and an annual gross salary of ten million euros .

Good news from @ErikOlePeters (BILD Frankfurt)! We can confirm Chelsea's pole position in a transfer of Timo #Werner. Lampard wants him and called him many times. Chelsea wants to build up a new project with Werner as the main target. Liverpool is not his first choice. @ SPORT1

- Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) June 4, 2020

FC Bayern Munich * and the Champions League winner from Liverpool have been in focus in the past few weeks regarding a Werner commitment. However, loss of revenue in the wake of the Corona crisis does not currently allow large investments to be made by either club - or more than one. As is well known, FCB is still vying for Leroy Sané. What would speak for Chelsea FC is the clear rejuvenation of the squad under Lampard. The blues plan through the past transfer ban with a corresponding offensive.

Timo Werner: "I know his thoughts" - Inter-Boss provides the surprise

Update from May 31, 3:33 p.m .: While RB Leipzig seems to be weakening somewhat in the Bundesliga - with the exception of the 5-goal gala against Mainz - speculation about her most accurate man is picking up speed again.

Above all, Jürgen Klopp boosts the rumors about a transfer to the island . Liverpool has long been associated with the international, but is still struggling to make an offer despite the obvious interest

LFC coach Klopp is apparently tired of procrastination. The German star coach is said to have personally approached those responsible and have spoken to them in conscience. The British Guardian reports that Klopp has made it clear that Timo Werner is perfect for his team

The ambiguity is also said to be very unsatisfactory for the international. Werner is waiting for a decision by the Reds before he wants to choose a club, it is said. That sounds a lot like Liverpool being his preferred address .

Timo Werner: "I know his thoughts" - Inter-Boss provides the surprise

" I know his thoughts about his future, " says Inter Milan sports director Piero Ausilio . The Italian top club was also on the striker star. However, the emphasis here is on 'war'. " Timo Werner will not come to Inter, " admits Ausilio, "we will not commit him. I love him as a player but we never had transfer talks with him. “Surprisingly honest words from Milan. Why you didn't feel at least with Werner, you probably don't have to understand.

Timo Werner: RB coach Nagelsmann wants to convince striker star "with action"

Update from May 29, 6.45 p.m .:  The transfer rumors about RB Leipzig's top striker Timo Werner did not stop even after the interruption in the Bundesliga * , because the 24-year-old scored three times in three games and screwed up his goals in the current season to 24 goals high.

Timo Werner: Nagelsmann coach wants to convince him with deeds - and draws FCB comparison

His coach Julian Nagelsmann commented in an online PK on the whereabouts of the goalkeeper and prefers to move the international "with action" rather than words to stay with the Saxons. “Timo knows what he has in Leipzig and hopefully he knows what he has in me. I know what I have in him and I show that (...) in that he plays every game from the beginning (...) and has many opportunities to develop, "said the 32-year-old coach.

The player has to feel “that he can get better . If he doesn't feel it, it won't help if I talk to him about it, he should stay here. ”The striker could leave RB on June 15 for a fixed fee of around 60 million euros . "And when a club comes along and agrees with it, then it is like that, then there is nothing we can do about it," says Nagelsmann.

Nagelsmann said at the press conference that he did not know when Werner's exit clause would expire this summer. The 32-year-old trainer looked annoyed and a little thin when asked. Nagelsmann made a striking comparison: So a Werner departure for RB Leipzig is about as painful as if Bayern would lose Robert Lewandowski .

Werner's contract will continue until 2023, but some clubs - including Liverpool FC - have the 24-year-old on the list. However, the British are unwilling to pay the transfer fee during the Corona crisis .

Timo Werner: RB CEO Mintzlaff comments on the transfer

Munich - FC Bayern has been associated with him for a long time and Jürgen Klopp  is said to have had a virtual meeting with him. However, Timo Werner is still under contract with RB Leipzig for three more years - and the association does not plan to financially accommodate those interested in a possible business.

"We do not want to sell a player below a specified value if he has a contract for more than a year," Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff told Sport Bild . It would not be cheaper than the fixed transfer fee of 55 million euros.

Timo Werner: Has he already chosen Liverpool?

The German national striker is supposed to be flirting with a move to the Premier League, but leaders Liverpool are still grappling with the clause and would prefer to lower the price. At Mintzlaff, the reigning Champions League winner will probably fall on deaf ears.

"We must always ask ourselves: General: Can I use a player or replace equivalent if I sell it for less than a predetermined amount?" In the case of Werner would RB probably a transfer coup succeed if they Werner equivalent for less money want to replace. In 27 Bundesliga games, the 24-year-old scored 24 goals and seven assists.

Timo Werner: RB Leipzig could use the transfer fee

RB therefore has the right to be “deeply relaxed”. If the interested clubs are not willing to pay the transfer, the top striker remains in Saxony . If the transfer fee is paid, RB could add more. "If we do not sell a player, we will be unable to sign any or little new players," Mintzlaff continued.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann would like to see offensive full-backs. The Werner transfer could be just right there. Until then, Liverpool and Bavaria still have to decide to look deeper into their wallets. RB continues to fight for the Champions League qualification in the Bundesliga.

There is already more clarity about another offensive star in the Bundesliga - FC Bayern has decided not to take its purchase option. Instead, the record champion is said to be dredging on a South American full-back.
