A mass brawl at the end of the Haifa derby at the Kiryat Haim Stadium area. Dozens of Hapoel Haifa fans gathered to watch the derby tonight, but after the game was over, dozens of Maccabi Haifa fans came to where they watched the game and a melee developed between the two camps.

According to testimony, stones and fireworks were thrown by Maccabi Haifa fans towards the red crowd. Large police forces were called to the scene to disperse the taunt. "We threw rocks, flakes and irons at us," said one of Hapoel Haifa's fans who attended the venue. "It's clear to us that everything was planned. They came with murder in the eyes and it almost ended with disaster."

According to police sources, Maccabi Haifa fans apparently received early information about the gathering of Hapoel fans. Also, some of the vehicles that were in place were damaged as a result of the stones being thrown.

It should be noted that the current violent event is being added to the break-up of several dozen Maccabi Haifa fans to Sami Ofer Stadium before the derby whistle. These are two serious incidents when police have already begun an investigation.
