Rosenheim - The two attackers Florian Heiß and Thomas März switch from the offspring of EC Bad Tölz to Mangfall.

The press release in full:

"We support our youngsters and more importantly: We rely on our youngsters! Under the motto "Youngsters First", young players will find excellent conditions here in Rosenheim in order to be able to develop first class in a quiet and very professional environment. Word gets around and is reflected more and more clearly in the requests from external players who want to play here with us. Our self-trained talents are also very impressed by our way of promoting young talent and see many perspectives for themselves to be able to make the leap into the first team, ”says Starbulls U20 youth coach Rick Boehm.

Very committed player who wants to attack again

The first of the two new cracks in the U20 team for the 2020/2021 season is 19-year-old Florian Heiß. Born in Bad Tölzer, went through all the young teams on the Isar and in the past season scored 14 scorer points in 22 games, including 7 goals and 7 assists. Florian Heiß is 185 cm tall and was a teammate of the current Starbulls attacker Kevin Slezak during his junior years in Bad Tölz.

"Florian is a U20 final year player who is looking for a change of air in his last youth year and wants to attack again after a protracted injury last season. During his few assignments during the 2019/2020 season, I have watched him from time to time and have always been able to give him a good and very committed performance. Florian will certainly strengthen us as a striker and I'm happy to have him in our squad next year, ”says Rick Boehm.

Hungry top scorer on the way up

With Thomas März, another attacker from Bad Tölz comes to Rosenheim. The 18-year-old right-handed shooter was captain of the Tölz U20 team in the 2019/2020 season. The 172 cm tall Thomas März scored a total of 61 scorer points (22 goals / 39 assists) in 35 games. March thus took second place in the internal scorer list of the Tölz U20 team and was in third place in the league (DEB U20 Division 2) in a very strong third place in the scorer rating. The DEL2 team of the Tölzer Löwen also draws attention with its strong performances and was part of the team of trainer Kevin Gaudet several times during the summer preparation 2019/2020.

When asked about Thomas März, Starbull's up-and-coming coach Rick Boehm says: “I am very pleased that Thomas is moving to Rosenheim. He is an extremely motivated and hungry young player who will absolutely help us in the U20 team. In personal conversations with Thomas, I noticed that he is absolutely convinced of our lived connection between the young talent and the first team. Thomas is looking for his opportunity in the senior sector and is impressed that young players in Rosenheim receive a lot of ice age and a lot of trust in order to be able to develop perfectly for their future careers. I am absolutely certain that his decision to come to Rosenheim was absolutely right for him. I hope that he will soon be able to take the first steps up to the first team and that he will stay with us here in Rosenheim for a long time. ”

"Ideal conditions for young talents"

“As already mentioned before, our Rosenheimer Weg consists of a consistent promotion of young people and an enormous permeability between the youth and senior sector. Lots of ice age, lots of individual support, lots of opportunities to show yourself and all that paired with a great and very friendly environment: This is what distinguishes us in Rosenheim and here we promote young talent and talent every day. This path is absolutely ideal for young players and I am convinced that sooner or later this will also be reflected in the sporting success of the first team. I speak to many young players all year round and experience again and again how positively our path is received everywhere and how attractive our location is for hungry and hopeful young talents. This concept is fun and everyone benefits from it: the young talents, the first team and thus the entire Starbulls Rosenheim club, ”says Starbulls U20 coach Rick Boehm.
