Without a doubt, Eran Zahavi is the player who has had the most influence on Israeli football in the last decade. The 2016 striker, who played in China, provided one of the biggest periods seen here by an Israeli player in the local league when he won with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 3 championships between 2013-2015 and raised his own yellow to the Champions League.

On Monday, Zahavi was surprised when he said in an interview with Omri Caspi's podcast that he was considering returning to play in Israel. "You made a move to go back to the club where you grew up in Maccabi Tel Aviv, and I also think to take that step. My son wants to go back to Israel," the star told his friend.

Among other things, Zahavi also told about his plans for the future: "I am working on something very serious, on how to save an athlete's money. It does not have to be millions. Something like an investment company, insurance, player agency. That, and it won't just be in football. We're not business people, athletes are easy prey. Sometimes it's tempting to make deals, no one educated us on this. "
