Daniel Fichtlscherer should put his FC Schwaig in the lead against Finalgegnger TSV Gilching-Argelsried. He was quickly 3-0 up, but Eric Buckl came back, equalized to 3: 3. Shortly before - at 3-2 - Fichtlscherer had received an unjustified penalty. "Every FIFA gambler knows that something like this can happen in this game," explains Maxi Maier, Managing Director of MA Gold Cup, which organized this Open Erdinger district championship on the console together with the home newspaper. "And Daniel deliberately put the 911 next to it," says Maier. "I didn't want this exciting final to be decided by a wrong decision," says Fichtlscherer. "And my opponent proved that it was correct." Shortly afterwards, Buckl had the same situation. And he also did not hit. "That really made me really proud. The two couldn't communicate at all. Obviously there was no question for them that they didn't want to take advantage of it. "Maier continues that something like this happened in the final," shows the culture that prevailed during the two and a half months at this tournament. It was about fun, friendship and fairness. "
Of course, it was also about victory. FC Schwaig became open Erdinger district champion at the console. Buckl and Fichtlscherer parted after a "super exciting and technically top level game" (quote Maxi Maier) 4: 4, with the equalizer only falling in the 87th minute. In the second game Hannes Empl did not let anything burn. The Schwaiger top player won against Alper Diker - as in the quarter and semi-finals with 5-0 goals. That meant Vincent Sommer could have afforded a four-goal loss.
He was promptly behind. Gilching's team captain Anton Michl, who by the way played with FC Augsburg (summer with Real) then missed a few chances to make it 2-0. When the Schwaiger finally equalized, organizer Maier wrote in the chat that the FCS can freeze the sparkling wine. So it finally came. After the 2-2 draw between Michl and Sommer, the winner of the first MA Club Championship was determined. FC Schwaig can now look forward to the big championship cup donated by the Erdinger / Dorfener Anzeiger. There are also 15 vouchers for a tour of the Erdinger Weißbräu, a three-liter tankard and a crate of beer. In addition, the Sportpark Schollbach, which reopened yesterday (see page 10), invited FC Schwaig to a training session. With 20 men, the district league kickers are allowed to go to the gym.
But the tournament was also worthwhile for TSV Gilching. He receives five boxes of beer from Erdinger Weißbräu. "We are really proud to have come this far, but if you looked at the tight games of Eric and me in the final, there might have been more in it," said TSV captain Anton Michl, who was also pleased with the reactions from the surrounding area. “Many of the team and friends always wanted to know how things were going and cheered us on in the stream. It is of course all the better that we win so much beer now because we want to celebrate a little party with all the people as soon as it is allowed again. ”The trio really enjoyed the trip to Erdinger soccer. Michl: "It was really cool with the boys because you got on well with everyone." He was already looking forward to events where you could meet.
Three boxes of Erdinger go to third place. And that is SC Kirchasch, who prevailed in the small final against the young savages from SV Eichenried. Markus Zoller (3: 0 against Nico Gruber) and Richard Hehenberger (2: 0 against Lucas Huber) had decided the game ahead of time, so that Basti Bönisch's 1: 5 swatter against Tobias Dobry was no longer an issue.
The young Eichenrieder took the last defeat loosely and remember with a certain pride that they had the eventual tournament winner on the verge of a defeat. Lucas Huber: "Of course we were very unhappy in the semi-finals, but we are not blaming ourselves. As an amateur gambler, you can sometimes lose more against an e-athlete. Of course we're happy with fourth place, I don't think anyone would have expected us to get this far. It was a great time for us. The organization was great, we had to take care of almost nothing. ”
A similar statement came from the third-placed SC Kirchasch. "We never thought we would get this far," says Richard Hehenberger. Accordingly, the disappointment after the narrow semi-final loss (3: 6 against Gilching) was limited. “This FIFA mode has a lot to do with luck. If it had been drawn differently in the semifinals, we might have won. The other way round, the luck in the quarter-finals was on our side. ”Hehenberger congratulated FC Schwaig on winning the tournament:“ But next time we'll get the title. ”
"There will be a next time for sure," says Maier, "just not maybe next week," he adds with a laugh. Around 670 games had to be handled. It was an effort, “but it was a celebration for me. I received a lot of positive feedback and got to know a lot of new people. ”Maier saw the highlight of the tournament in the fairness campaign by Fichtlscherer and Buckl. Cooperation with the team captains was also very pleasant. He also thanked Karim Mamo, who graphically translated the tables, and Julian Schaub, who created the tables on Fupa. The tournament had around 8,400 views on fupa, the soccer portal of the home newspaper. "And in the final, which we broadcast live again on Twitch, 231 viewers clicked in."
The final word has Daniel Fichtlscherer, for whom the fair play campaign was a matter of course, "because fairness and fair play ran through the entire course of the tournament and will soon be in demand again on the real football field".
