Munich (dpa) - The basketball players of FC Bayern Munich are slowly warming up for the knockout rounds at the Bundesliga championship tournament in their home Audi Dome.
The German champion defeated BG Göttingen with 90:55 (47:31). For the tournament favorite, who is already qualified for the playoff quarter-finals, it was the second win in the third group game. The Göttingen, however, suffered their second defeat.
In front of Honorary President Uli Hoeneß, Danilo Barthel was the outstanding Munich player on the stage with 19 points. In the inferior Lower Saxony Marvin Omuvwie was the most successful thrower with 13 points. Bayern controlled the game and opponents almost continuously.
In the second game of the day, the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim meet the EWE Baskets Oldenburg. In addition to the Bavarians, ratiopharm Ulm, Alba Berlin and the MHP giant Ludwigsburg have already been confirmed as playoff participants.
