The players of the Bundesliga club Kirchheimer SC only have to lace up their soccer shoes, then it is finally time on this cloudy, rainy holiday morning: three months after the last joint session at the sports facility at Merowinger Hof (March 12), they practice again - at times the corona pandemic, however, under very special conditions.
"Measures for restricted training operations" is the name of the 16-page information script that the KSC has developed for this purpose in accordance with the guidelines of the Bavarian Football Association. “There were several meetings until the concept was in place, until we were sure that we could comply with the hygiene rules. Petra Mayr and Magnus Harlander were also in constant contact, ”department head Christian Boche reports of the lively exchange between the chairman of Kirchheimer SC and the board chairman of SV Heimstetten.
The KSC athletes have been training in small groups for three weeks, and the youth footballers from U12 upwards since Monday. Boche: “The children are super disciplined.” Everything went smoothly for the men on arrival as well: A group of 13 men, led by co-player trainer Fabian Löns, met on the green right next to the artificial turf pitch, the other group à 13 man with player trainer Steven Toy at the top starts in the main square. After less than an hour, the groups swap places - of course in such a way that they don't get into each other's way. This is their way into the new normal… Except for Thomas Branco de Brito, who works in the fitness room, vacationers Maximilian Baitz and Morris Duggan (prevented), the entire squad is at the start. Toy reminds his protégés once again of the most important rules - such as keeping the distances in contact-free training as well as banning the use of changing rooms and shower rooms: “And don't forget, fun is the focus today. Enjoy being on the ball again. ”After warming up, the first exercises begin, and all of them are designed as duels between two teams. Some people find it difficult at first to complete their tasks, but gradually they all become more relaxed. "You practiced flanks diligently in the Ostpark, right?", Praises Ricardo Jacobi keeper Ivan Babic, who last had a few extra shifts with his colleagues Michael Franz and Markus Magdolen under goalkeeper coach Sascha Jager. Half of the toy group hits wide balls within a narrow corridor marked by a hat, the other half does goal scoring training, with the flanker first running slalom through his close metal colleagues. "The old people are cheating themselves to victory again," says Marwin Bindner. And Denis Zabolotnyi replies dryly: "You are so lost."
Even under assistant coach Löns, the players are in a good mood and disciplined. "After the shot on goal you have to get the ball immediately, we only have eight!" Löns calls. Almost every shot on goal is commented loudly in the Toy squad. And even if it is not clear in the end which team actually won, this does not detract from the good mood.
When Fabian Löns asks his protégés to collect the hats after almost two hours at 11.49 a.m. and asks them to leave ("Four big rounds!"), The sun is actually laughing down from the blue sky. There are no volunteers for the final disinfection of balls and cones, and so it is Matthias Ecker, Noel Pfeiffer and Alexander Fürthmaier, who only gave their signed "declaration of consent for small group training on the sports grounds during the corona pandemic" at the last minute.
