The BfV specifies its plans to restart the juniors in September. Two single rounds, each with promoters and promoters, are to be played with a maximum of ten teams.

District - The course has been set: Immediately after the announcement of the season break in junior football (we reported), association youth leader Florian Weißmann and his team not only presented the plans for the coming season. Weißmann also provided information in numerous webinars across Bavaria on how to calculate the final tables and the resulting questions about ascent and descent.

Youth teams from SE Freising and TSV Eching are promoted

Especially at SE Freising and TSV Eching, those responsible should have pricked up their ears. A few days ago, both clubs were very disappointed to have to remain in the Donau / Isar district league with their C youth teams, despite all good sporting prospects, but this time Weißmann brought good news. "Equal ratios, second-placed teams are also promoted," explains the association youth leader, so that the city dwellers can intensify their plans for the district league. With the zebras, the quotient control paves the way towards BOL. Teams that have achieved at least 80 percent of the points of the respective leaders can apply for promotion. Means: Eching should have reached at least 22.4 points and is just above the mark with 23 points actually achieved. Not only the TSV with its U15, but all teams in the game that are entitled to promotion, who in turn are aiming for promotion using the quotient rule, must do so by means of an online query by 21 June at the latest. "Every club has already received a link via the Zimbra mailbox," explains Weißmann, "and feedback is mandatory from the district class upwards!"

The BFV will try to take the wishes and concerns of the clubs into account as best as possible. "But there is no entitlement to promotion," explains the association youth leader, possibly having to reject applications.

Florian Uffinger, head of junior staff at TSV Eching, welcomes this approach. "Last week we didn't know anything about the quotient rule, but this route takes exactly into account our sporting problem with the termination". Uffinger sends a compliment directly afterwards: "There were really thoughts that go into the moods of the clubs".

In addition to Echingern, SV Vötting (U13 group south), VfB Hallbergmoos and SE Freising (both U13 district class), SG Kranzberg in C-youth group south and FC Moosburg in U17 in group Freising could also use the quotient rule apply for the ascent.

Stephan Fox: How many players return after a break?

The BFV grouping query should also play an important role in the lower table regions. "Clubs that have achieved one, two or three points with their teams in the course of the season so far should ask themselves whether the non-relegation in the respective age group will help them," Weißmann appeals to the reason for the youth leaders. After all, it is about "education, development and motivation of children and adolescents", as he emphasized and called for "a realistic assessment of your own performance".

But is that even possible at the present time? This is also the question asked by Stephan Fox, who is still responsible for running the large field in the district until the end of July. "Which clubs can even register? How many players return after the long break? And are there still enough coaches or supervisors for the teams? ”Three questions that should currently give those in charge from Allershausen to Zolling some stomach grumbling - all in a phase in which (regular) training and face-to-face events with the old or new coaching staff cannot be carried out are. On top of that, the majority of the game operations in the A and B youth area consist of game communities with up to four (!) Clubs involved. "Who will form a SG in the future - and which existing ones will break apart," Fox points out. However, there is no reason for hasty action or even panic. Those who either do not play in a higher class or who do not have any grouping requests will report their teams as usual via the registration form, which will be open from today and until July 31.

BfV: Two single rounds with ten teams

Should there be nothing in the way of the "re-start" targeted by the authorities from September, the BFV is planning the weekend 12/13 - analogous to the juniors. September as the start of the season. If everything goes according to plan, the game classes will be completed by the end of November, because instead of the first and second leg, a "single round" with regular promotion and relegation places will take effect. This works because there are no more than ten teams in each class. In the example of the district league, this means a division into two seasons, possibly with eight teams each. Provided that the planned end of the season works until the end of November, then it would go on in spring with a "single round" - based on the achievements of the autumn season - which in turn is scheduled to be completed by the end of June and again includes promotion and relegation ranks. Within a record-breaking ten months, the model would have a historic chance to climb from the district league to the state league with a U17, for example. However, if the desired and hoped-for start date is postponed in mid-September or if a second wave of infections requires renewed interruptions, the upcoming season would have to be extended until July 31 if necessary and the spring round would be canceled. The BFV puts together a well-thought-out overall package in the youth field, which offers the clubs a high degree of flexibility and co-responsibility with the grouping query and regulates the game operation according to current knowledge as best as possible. The youth leaders now also have planning security with regard to the age groups in the individual age groups, since these are now valid as usual from August 1st: A-youths are all kickers of the 2002/03 age groups, and children play with them in e-youth Years of birth 2010/11. But - youth leader Weißmann had to listen to this question quite often - why did BFV take so much time with this decision to terminate? "Sure, we could have made the decision to drop out in April," replies Weißmann, "but then everyone would have immediately asked how it would go on, who would ascend and descend. We did not want to present a sneak peek, but rather to find an overall solution with the association representatives in the working groups, ”emphasizes Weißmann. "And with that, I think we amazed many who still paint the image of old men with the dusty bandage," he adds with a smile.

Finally, the BFV thanks you for your cooperation and patience. "Many youth soccer players - especially from the small field - played their last match in October 2019," Weißmann recalls the long and persistent game-free time.
