Clubs in the district react to the BFV proposals that district league teams get a cup competition - the opinions on the BFV decisions look different.
District - For most football officials in the district, it was actually clear: After the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) organized a cup competition in the higher amateur leagues, an analogous competition is also for the district leagues of the sub-working group "District playing class men" of the solution working group (LAG) has been proposed.
One league cup competition for each district league with preliminary, intermediate and final rounds
The recommendation of the LAG provides for a district cup competition for each district league with preliminary, intermediate and final rounds, which will be held during the game-free times of league play and should offer additional sporting incentives.
In each district, the respective League Cup winners also play out a district winner, who then fights with the six other district winners in a relegation round for a total of five direct promotion places in the regional league.
The additional competition has no influence on the results of the regular season. Should a team make it through the league cup that has already made it into the national league via the league, a successor principle applies.
If a team that would be relegated via the league emerges as a promotion from the league cup competition, it does not advance to the national league, but holds the class as a reward.
SC Unterpfaffenhofen generally advocates that alternatives are sought for the football-free period
"In general, I think it's great that an alternative is sought for a possible football-free time," says Sebastian Koty , head of department at SC Unterpfaffenhofen .
This would also create an opportunity for ambitious clubs to still be able to advance. "Another kicker is not good for such a long time without football," said the Upfer football boss.
"And if there is a really sporty incentive for the top half, that's not a bad solution."
However , Kotyk doubts that the cup will have an impact on the relegation battle . "What is the likelihood that a club from the lower half of the table will first win the trophy in the respective relay and then be victorious in the respective relegation?"
But then to say that the club does not advance, but keeps the class, even though it has survived everything, causes the SCU department head to be incomprehensible.
Sebastian Koty: "A clear cut would certainly be easier."
Just like the fundamental decision not to cancel the 2019/2020 season . "For me, the question still arises as to why people continue to pursue the hardcore path in Bavaria and let amateurs continue to play." He cannot understand the completely different approach among male youth, juniors and adults. “A clear cut would certainly be easier. That would also remove one or two question marks that are still in the room. "
One of these open questions is the actual date of a restart. "It would be nice to finally make an appointment so that we can start with the training or at least with the existing training methods."
League Cup competition as a good opportunity to play matches under competitive conditions
Uli Bergmann , manager of SC Oberweikertshofen , was not surprised by the introduction of the new competition: "When I heard and read about the league cup of the Landesliga, I thought there was still something to come."
Additional employment for the soccer players is urgently needed. "If on the 5th / 6th September can be started, we are on October 31 or 7-8. November finished. That couldn't be it then. "
The League Cup competition is therefore a good opportunity not only to play friendly games - which of course should still be in preparation for the season - but also to play other games under competition conditions.
Uli Bergmann: "I would like a tournament together with the district league north and east"
However, Bergmann would have preferred a slightly different tournament mode. Such a new format could have been used to create some variety: “I would like a tournament together with the district league north and east to get to know other teams again. Games against Moosinning , Kammerberg and Eching or games against Baldham and Freilassing in the east would also be interesting for the spectators . ”
For the SC Oberweikertshofen , the trophy is also an exciting option to get back into the national league.
“Five out of seven - interesting if the seven League Cup winners can fight for five national league tickets. The extraordinary situation requires extraordinary measures. "
