Serie A: Fiorentina hooked by Brescia, Milan easy winner in Lecce

2020-06-23T20:37:08.609Z

Very bad deal for Fiorentina at the opening of the 27th day of Serie A. The Florentines and Franck Ribéry were kept in check (1-1) on their lawn by Brescia, the red lantern. Milan, for its part, perfectly managed its trap move to Lecce by winning 4-1.

Not handicapped by the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC Milan easily won on the lawn of Lecce (4-1) Monday at the start of the 27th day of Serie A, while Fiorentina was held in check by Brescia ( 1-1), despite the return of Franck Ribéry. This 27th day is the first full day since the resumption of competitions in Italy. Last weekend was indeed devoted to four late matches for the 25th day. AC Milan were not worried in Lecce, even if the Puglia team, currently relegated, however briefly returned to 1-1 thanks to a penalty from Mancosu (54th) after the opening of the score by Castillejo in first period (26th).

But this equalizing goal finally triggered the best Milan period, which immediately regained the advantage by Bonaventura (55th), then widened the gap via Rebic (57th) and Leao (72nd). Seventh in the standings, the Rossoneri can still believe in Europe and await the now imminent return of Ibrahimovic, injured in the right calf.

La Fiorentina ends at 10

For his part, Ribéry was absent since late November before making an unexpected comeback as a holder on Monday against Brescia. After a very successful start to the season with Fiorentina, the Frenchman had seriously injured his right ankle during a match against Lecce, and had to be operated on afterwards. On Monday, he played 85 minutes at an already correct level, but could not prevent a disappointing new result from the Florentine team (1-1) against Brescia. The red lantern opened the scoring on a penalty from Donnarumma (15th), before the equalization signed Pezzella (29th), the captain of the Viola. The expulsion of Caceres forced Fiorentina to play 10 for 20 minutes. The expulsion also forced former Lyonnais Ghezzal to leave in the 72nd minute, five minutes after coming into play.
