Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has announced his intention to leave the club at the end of his contract in the summer of 2024. Klopp was appointed Mighty Reds coach in 2016 and after 3 years managed to sweep the Reds to a Champions League win this year Liverpool managed to win the Premier League for the first time in 30 years. Last December Klopp signed a new contract and now he is declaring that he will return to his homeland, Germany at the end of the contract.
During his first season at Anfield, Klopp lost in the League Cup final and Europa League final to Sevilla, when in addition he lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid in 2018. However, the club made an impressive leap under him as Liverpool are now considered one of the best teams in Europe.
Klopp has never spent more than seven seasons at one club when he also left Dortmund, his previous team, even though he managed to win 2 championships with it at the beginning of the decade.
