Hapoel Gilboa / Galil returns to the Final Four for the first time since 2011 after beating Hapoel Holon 82:87 and winning the playoff quarterfinal series (1: 2). Lior Lubin, the last to march Gilboa to the last four, closed the circle tonight (Thursday) in a big way, much thanks to a huge game by Yiftach Ziv with a career high, which is in fact the matriculation certificate of the Israeli Guard.

Gilboa won Game 2 in the series by 34 points, and all of Holon's losses since the start of the season were in double digits, but tonight it was a different story. The Purples almost managed to do the unbelievable despite the negative momentum. The main advantage of being an underdog is the ability to easily transfer the pressure to the other side. This is what Holon did with great success.

She led today by more minutes than in all of her other games combined - from the end of the second quarter to the middle of the fourth quarter. Shabon Coleman gave the best game since arriving, Jimmy Hall again provided an effective display, Guy Pennini brought all the experience and Roy Hoover delivered 7 assists.

Gilboa, on the other hand, lost direction after the first quarter and until the last minutes was looking for the man who would take over the game, lead it and get out of the pressure. It was Yiftach Ziv, who after the corona break is in the best period of his career. Sally Clutch, leadership and the right decisions led one of the most talented Israelis in the league to keep what he has and bring Gilboa (2: 8 balance since the start of the season) to the top of Israeli basketball.
