Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Rishon Lezion are currently competing in the first game of the Final Four of the Premier League in basketball. The game was held at Menora Mivtachim Hall without an audience in light of the Corona virus crisis. Since the resumption of the league, Maccabi Rishon LeZion has been defeated in only three of its nine games - all against Hapoel Jerusalem.
The Oranges managed to beat all but two of the league's teams this season: Ness Ziona and Jerusalem, which they have beaten in all five meetings since the relegation in the Final Four last year, including in the semi-finals of the State Cup this season. Despite the unflattering statistics, Guy Goodes and his trainees, who showed good ability in the series against Maccabi Haifa and went up to the last four without a problem, want to surprise. The Oranges defeated Katsch and his trainees last year in the semifinals.
With the team from the capital, of course, they do not want to lose the same status to the Oranges again. Jerusalem has already won the Winner Basket Cup and the State Cup this season and it will try to be the second team in history to win the local treble, after Maccabi Tel Aviv that did it in the seasons 10/11, 11/12 and 13/14.
