Tonight (Tuesday, 21:00), Maccabi Rishon Lezion and Maccabi Tel Aviv will meet for the final of the state championship. One last game to end an unusual season. Before the big moment, we were reminded again of the finals of the last decade in the Premier League.

2019: Just like this year only with an audience. Oz Blazer, Nimrod Tishman, Daryl Monroe and Adam Ariel on one side. Scotty Wilbkin, Jake Cohen, Danny Abdia and Angelo Cloiaro on the other side. Guy Goodes and Yannis Sapropoulos on the lines. So it ended in a yellow championship, tonight's recovery.

2018: Hapoel Holon arrived at Yad Eliyahu Hall as the trophy holder and wanted to complete a local double against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Glenn Rice Jr. was called back after he was already released from the team following the incident with Pnini. Jeremy Fargo arrived a few months earlier and led with Alex Tios Nevan Spahija's team for the first championship since 2014.

2017: Simona Pianijani stood on the lines of Hapoel Jerusalem after a successful European season and disappointment in the Cup final. But that was Jerome Dyson's final. The Reds' guard, along with Curtis Geralds and Torrance Kinsey, fled to Ofer Rahimi's Maccabi Haifa in the third quarter on their way to a second championship plate in the club's history.

2016: Maccabi Rishon Lezion surprised Maccabi Tel Aviv in the semifinals and reached the final as a complete underdog from sixth place, in the only Final Four ever held at the Arena in Jerusalem. Arik Shibek arrived in the middle of the season after Sharon Drucker was fired, First to a historic championship on the heads of Donta Smith and the stunned Hapoel Jerusalem fans.

2015: This season the final was decided by the home-away method. In Arik Shibak's Hapoel Eilat semifinal series, he defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv before the final. In the first game of the final, Hapoel Jerusalem won by 15 points in Eilat, and the second half in the arena was mainly a Jerusalem celebration of the first championship in history.

2014: The final where Donte did not know. This season, too, the final was held using the home-away method. Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa met for the second time in a row in the final, after last season Maccabi Haifa won the championship. In the first game in Romema, Maccabi Tel Aviv won by 4 points. In the game at Yad Eliyahu, the Haifa team also won by 4 points and the game went into overtime (after a basket by Devin Smith was disqualified). In overtime the Greens won by just 2 points with Dontae Smith missing the last ball. He then said he did not know he had to score to win because he thought that in overtime the difference did not matter. Bottom line - the championship returns to the Yellows.

2013: This season the final was decided in one game. Brad Greenberg's Maccabi Haifa hosted David Blatt's Maccabi Tel Aviv and took the first championship in its history with a performance by Pat Claths (22 points and 10 rebounds). Gal Makal and Donta Smith were heroes of that season and finished with 7 assists Each.

2012: Maccabi Ashdod, the newcomer surprised everyone and reached the Final Four. Maybe it's not so surprising when you see that stars like Meir Tapiro, Josh Carter, Josh Duncan and Alex Tios played for Ofer Berkowitz. But on the other side was Maccabi Tel Aviv, with Devin Smith and Keith Langford who made sure to keep the yellow plate for a second season in a row.

2011:  After winning the championship last season with Oded Katash, Brian Randall and Jeremy Fargo - Hapoel Gilboa / Galil reached the Final Four again. But that group was more modest, after Fargo moved to the Yellow Empire from Tel Aviv, and under the leadership of Lior Lubin was content to reach this status only. David Blue led the Maccabi Tel Aviv scoring, which dismantled the team from Gilboa 64:91 and returned the championship plate to it.

2010: This decade opens with an amazing surprise in the final. Hapoel Gilboa Galil defeated Hapoel Jerusalem and reached the final against Maccabi Tel Aviv in Yad Eliyahu. Oded Katash had a bunch of young players including Gal Makal, Dagan Yavzuri, Elishi Kadir, Jeremy Fargo, Brian Randall, Dion Dowell and Izia Swan. "The big one still led by 8 points, but Gilboa came back from the locker room like the muzzle of a cannon (9:21 in the third quarter) and beat Yad Eliyahu with a historic championship.
