For a little over a year, they had been collaborating on an ad hoc basis. The PSG Foundation and the Women's Foundation have decided to strengthen their partnership in a “sustainable and effective” way, as the club announced on Tuesday July 28, 2020 in a press release. The Women's Foundation helps women and children who are victims of domestic violence.

A phenomenon that exploded during confinement linked to the Covid-19 crisis. During this period, two players from PSG and the French women's team, Kadidiatou Diani and Perle Morroni, had been the spokespersons by relaying emergency numbers and contacts on their social networks, such as 3919, chat Commentonsaime.fr or the App-Elles application. They had thus taken over from their teammates Irene Paredes and Arianna Criscione, who had participated in the Nuit des Relais, the race against violence against women, organized under the aegis of the Women's Foundation.

Since the end of May, a vast plan to support families forced to leave their homes during the health crisis has been put in place. The agreement signed between the two foundations made it possible to take care of 64 women and 84 children in emergency situations while awaiting relocation. Nivea Men, official partner of PSG, also joined the operation by delivering more than 1,000 hygiene and care products to families.

The PSG Foundation has also developed an educational program for children supported by the Fondation des Femmes. Its educators work on two sites hosting dozens of families. They offer them sports and recreational activities, and distribute clothes, shoes and other toys.

"PSG, a committed and citizen actor, stands alongside the most vulnerable," said Sabrina Delannoy, former emblematic captain of the club and now deputy director of the Foundation. The confinement has dramatically exacerbated domestic violence, further accentuating the difficulties of the women and children who are victims. It was natural for PSG to get involved alongside the Women's Foundation. Our common ambition is to allow these families to settle down, rebuild themselves and find long-term solutions. "

“While the time has come for deconfinement, associations in the field are receiving a large number of calls from women who can finally warn of the danger of their situation,” underlines Anne-Cécile Mailfert, president of the Women's Foundation. It is essential to continue and strengthen our support, and this support from the PSG Foundation is making a major contribution to this. "
