Maccabi Haifa is still without a first acquisition this summer, but it seems that the club is in no hurry. Although there are always names of potential candidates on the table, some of them foreign, the fact that the transfer market will last this year until mid-October results in much less pressure, at least within the system.

"Higher foreigners will be ejected from teams in September as well," the club said, adding: "Right now, quality foreigners are looking for teams in more senior leagues. When they are not found, a league like the one in Israel will be considered an option for them." Maccabi Haifa, for example, gave Charon Sheri, who is considered a great success, and arrived near the end of the transfer deadline last summer.

Beyond that, in Maccabi Haifa the talks with the Cameroonian midfielder George Mendzak are stuck, so the club is examining alternatives to the position of the back midfielder.
