Arrival of the quinté : 6 - 9 - 10 - 12 - 16
The first quinté of the summer meeting of Deauville (Calvados) brought together sixteen competitors, aged 4 to 7, for a journey of 1,500 m on the fiber-sand track.
This first event put the underdogs in the spotlight with odds exceeding 10/1 for the first five (12.23, 23, 17 and 22/1). After having waited behind the backs of the hosts, Sandyssime (n ° 6) went on the offensive at mid-straight to easily take the measure of his opponents and win the second quint of his career under the grip of Eddy Hardouin. Despite an attractive end of the race, Darshano (n ° 9) is satisfied with the accessit of honor and precedes the host, Saga Timgad (n ° 10), the subject of an investigation for having encroached on a part of grass in the first few meters of the race. Meri Senshi (n ° 12) concludes at the foot of the podium and ahead of Green Cury (n ° 16), Come Say Hi(n ° 15) and the favorite, French Pegasus (n ° 7), whose end of the race in the background did not go unnoticed.
After investigation, the result was approved by the commissioners.
