As expected after the last training sessions, PSG changes system for the final of the Coupe de la Ligue, this Friday against OL. Two reasons for this: the absence of Kylian Mbappé, injured in the right ankle, and the opponent, who evolves with a reinforced midfielder. Thomas Tuchel is preparing for a battle in the midfield and therefore chooses to strengthen this sector with a 4-3-3 system.
The middle trio will be occupied by Marquinhos as sentry, Marco Verratti, back as holder, and Idrissa Gueye. The three men will support an attacking trio made up of Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi and Neymar. Pablo Sarabia, who could digitally replace Di Maria, suspended against Atalanta Bergamo in the Champions League, remains on the sidelines.
Another important point: in the absence of a professional right-back (Dagba package, Kehrer recovers), it is Layvin Kurzawa who was established by Tuchel. In central defense, Presnel Kimpembe is making his return alongside captain Thiago Silva. As for the Dutchman Mitchell Bakker, he knows this Friday his second tenure in a row with PSG, at only 20 years old. In the goal, no surprise with the presence of Keylor Navas.
The composition of PSG: Navas - Kurzawa, Thiago Silva (cap.), Kimpembe, Bakker - Gueye, Marquinhos, Verratti - Di Maria, Icardi, Neymar.
