Jérémie BASTIEN.- Football must be distinguished from other sports. Football has gone through a major crisis suffering from the immediate effects of the health situation: impact on ticketing, on sales of derivative products, loss of earnings with the last installment of TV rights that was not paid by Canal + and beIN Sports. But we also found that the supposed weakness of the economic model of French clubs, namely the too strong dependence on the financial windfall of TV rights, finally saved them. The record contract signed with Mediapro will enable them to overcome the effects of the crisis. The sponsorship contracts were also generally maintained.
