Is Manor Solomon on the way to the coveted leap? According to reports in the Land of the Boot, the Israeli national team contact and Shakhtar Donetsk, was mentioned in the last day as one of the prominent candidates to join Atlanta, which finished last season in third place in Serie A.
The 21-year-old Solomon, who joined the Ukrainian team a year and a half ago and scored five goals in 26 appearances, moved from Maccabi Petah Tikva for six million euros. Last season, as part of the Champions League, an Israeli national team player met Atlanta, then came in as a substitute and scored a winning goal that gave the Ukrainian champions 1: 2.
The report also stated that the Italian team had already contacted Solomon's team to find out what the player's current price tag was. "Solomon was published as a future talent even before he reached Shakhtar Donetsk," the report said, "It will be interesting to see if he manages to impress in the Italian league as well."
