Saturday, 08 August 2020, 19:12Maccabi Tel Aviv is sure that Anta Žižić will join its ranks, but the Spanish media insist that Real Madrid have not yet said the last word. The Blancos reached an agreement last night (Friday) with Pecondo Campaso on his departure for the NBA and the sums that will flow to the club immediately: according to the agreement, Campaso will give up his August, September and October salaries in the first instance, which will save Blancos about 1.2 million euros.
According to Marca, part of that amount may be used by Real to complete deals that were already on the way and stalled - such as the Zizic deal, which had already been agreed orally but was stopped due to delays by the Spaniards. Since then, Maccabi Tel Aviv has managed to get involved and according to sources in the team, it has even reached an agreement with the Croatian center, who is expected to officially leave the Cleveland Cavaliers in the coming days.

According to a report in Marca, Real offered Campaso to stay for another season and in exchange to allow him to move to the NBA next summer for much lower compensation, but he refused. The Blancos, for their part, refused Campaso's agents' offer to reduce his release fee (about 6 million euros) in exchange for a first-come, first-served basis if he returned to Europe.
Also, according to the report, Real have tried in recent weeks to make a snatch to Olympiacos and sign Costas Slokas after having already signed with the team. Eventually the Greek coordinator's candidacy was dropped and he signed for Olympiacos as he had originally planned. The possibility of replacing Campaso in Lucca and Wildosa from Basconia is also unrealistic, as Basconia is demanding two million euros for him. The most likely option for Real is to sign a coordinator to drop out of the NBA.
